Jack Pecthey – 2023 Award Winners

Winner: Shafin Shahriyar
Age: 16

Award for his voluntary commitment and dedication to the taekwondo project, helping in setting up and packing up the club,  Shafin had done group work to help those that need further assistance and achieved a black belt
Funding Spent on: Equipment, Taekwondo items to help the project run 

Winner: Abdullah Ishaq
Age: 16

Award for his commitment to the Stairs2Sucess outreach project, regular attendance and having a great sense of humor to help gel the group together. Ishaq is a team player and was mindful of what the group wanted collectively

Funding Spent on: Trip, Golf Stanstead to celebrate the outreach project

Winner: Ismael Ahmed
Age: 16

Full engagement and participation in consultation sessions, encouraging others to participate and replaying feedback from others. Ismael is vocal and voices his concerns about the club and ensures everyone is heard

Jack Petchey – 2022 Award Winners

Winner: Frankie Buttiegieg
Age: 17

Award for her continuous voluntary commitment to the club, helping in setting up, and cleaning after sessions . Frankie has an active voice in the youth group and wants to attract more young people and the community to the centre. Frankie helps in our annual community funday from the co-production; co-produce; co-design; co-action and; co-creation of the event. 

Funding Spent On: Equipment and Food, PS4 Controller as the club’s equipment broke and a social meal to help strengthen the group cohesion.

Winner: Ebrahim Uddin
Age: 11

Award for his voluntary commitment for the inner club football tournament , helping managing the Ocean TLA team, de-esclating challenging behaviors. Ebrahim has a welcoming smile and encourages his peers to participate and get involved  whilst voicing ideas and concerns of his peers to ensure the youth voices are heard   to help co-produce the quarterly plans

Funding Spent On: Equipment, PS4 Controller as the club’s equipment broke therefore young people could not play multiplayer and queue system had to be created

Winner: Sherene Ali
Age: 13

Award for her commitment and dedication to promoting the club, encouraging other girls to attend the provision. Sherene takes the initiative to for cooking and baking sessions. She makes amazing waffles. She is welcoming and a club favourite amongst all. She has an active voice in the youth group and local steering group meetings and wants  to improve the club to attract more young people to the club and her community

Funding Spent On: Equipment, Fridge Freezer as the clubs’ equipment broke therefore we could not store food and refreshments to carry out food sessions
